Book List | 2025
Some quick opening notes:
Where do I get my inspiration for what to read / listen?
Local library staff picks, book shops, friends’ sharing, book clubs, random social media lists (which then I screenshot for reference), occasionally what people recommend on LinkedIn as well. What are on the list?
The list is meant to be a quantitative record of books I’ve finished in each year, and it keeps me accountable to output what I’ve learned. Sometimes I don’t finish a book…and they don’t make the list. Sometimes I finish a book just to see if there are any redeemable insights (occasionally they don’t), they make the “list” but wouldn’t be something I recommend.Top Picks:
I usually pick 3-6 books from each year that really impacts me and pull them out into a “Pick List”. They might grow as the year progresses.Support your local library and independent book shops:
This year I’m trying to link the books out to Bookshop.org or their publishers instead of that corporation or its subsidiary, Good Reads. Let’s support our local libraries and book shops for a more sustainable community building. Check out your local public libraries for their programming on free audible books - my special gratitude goes to SFPL, where you can sign up for a library card for free!
* This year I’ve completed 24 books by April 23, which is a record for me in the past years of tracking how many books I’ve read 🎉🎉
Here’s the list in order of completion…which will grow throughout this year.
